Hypoglycemia with Beta-Blocker in Patients with Type II Diabetes

Objective: To ascertain the frequency of hypoglycemia in diabetic patients using beta blockers.Study Design: A descriptive cross-sectional study.Place and Duration Study: The study was conducted Department Nephrology Medicine, Lady Reading Hospital Peshawar, Pakistan, from 10th October 2021 to April 2022.Materials Methods: total number with 196, who were included this study. patients’ medical record assessed, use beta-blocker noted recorded.Results: This those whose ages ranged 30 70 years, a mean age 51.964±6.38 years. average duration diabetes 7.989±2.74 an weight 87.178 kg. Male 71.9%, females 28.1%, 43.9% had used blockers. Conclusion: According study, people take oral beta-blockers have higher risk developing hypoglycemia. research shows that Beta Blocker causes increased chances diabetes.
